International open-call for artists to participate in what will start out as an “Open- No Theme” Art Exhibition. Submissions will be reviewed and mapped along a thematic thread formulated into a concept. Selected artists will participate in the curatorial process to varying degrees based on experience and desired level of engagement.
Arte Verissima is a studio and gallery offering workshops and exhibitions inspired by classical traditions. Owned by renowned sculptor and painter Bruce Wolfe, and managed by curator and art historan, Sarira Zali-Raisi. The studio is also the home of Golden Gate Atelier directed and instructed by Andrew Ameral. In the past, the gallery has featured solo exhibitions by artists such as Robert Hunt, Kazuhiko Sano, Alicia Ponzio, Carol Tarzier, Robert Steele and Dennis Ziemienski. Located on Piedmont Avenue in Oakland, Arte Verissima is the East Bay’s center for realist art.
