The 'Is This Really Photography?' Podcast is a brand new podcast about all the wonderful worlds of photography which fall outside of what the public thinks of as 'mainstream', including anything that could be considered alternative photography. This opportunity is to be interviewed as a guest on the podcast and share an aspect of photography you love which is outside of the mainstream. 

There is so much more to photography than digital portraits and wedding shots.

Unfortunately, not everyone knows about the rich history or many varied processes which are still very much alive and in use by photographers and photographic artists. 

If you are involved in one of these areas would you like to share it by being interviewed on a podcast? 

You don't need experience or any fancy equipment for this, most regular laptops have excellent microphones.

Interviews will take place over the internet so no travel will be involved. 

The Podcast will be available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, Castbox and Google Podcasts.

Who is eligible for this opportunity?
Anyone involved in photography, alternative photography and photographic art or who has relevant knowledge.
When is the deadline?
31st of May 2024.
When is the delivery date?
The podcast goes live on Friday 17th May 2024 for season 1. If you are selected to be interviewed then your episode may be towards the end of season 1 or form part of season 2 (which is currently scheduled for autumn 2024).
How much does it cost?
There is no submission fee.
Are there payments to artists?
No.
What publicity will be provided as part of the opportunity?
Episodes will be promoted on our social media accounts and via our website.
Do I need to be physically present for the interview?
No, all recordings will be done over the Internet.
What happens if my proposal is chosen?
