Call for Participants: Following the success of the inaugural Liverpool Artists’ Book Fair in 2014, we are now accepting applications for the second major Liverpool Artists’ Book Fair, which will be held on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th July 2015. The Fair will take place in Liverpool’s spectacular refurbished Central Library, and will be free to the public. We are also interested to receive proposals for workshops and talks to take place over the two days.

Liverpool Book Art are excited to announce that following the success of the inaugural Artists' Book Fair in 2014, the second major Liverpool Artists' Book Fair will be held in the spectacular refurbished Liverpool Central Library on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th July 2015. There will be around 30 tables of artists' work for sale.

For 2015, we are also looking at holding workshops (for children) and complementary artists' talks: discussions with the venue on these are still to be finalised.

We are not curating a complementary exhibition in 2015, but plan to do so again in 2016.

LIVERPOOL ARTISTS’ BOOK FAIR

Liverpool Book Art is inviting submissions for tables for the first Liverpool Artists' Book Fair. We are excited for the fair to be held at the referbished Liverpool Central Library on Friday 3rd July (11am-6pm) and Saturday 4th July (10am-5pm) in the Discover area, located on the ground floor.

With around 30 tables available we are looking to showcase a diversity of approaches and artist practices, for sale at a range of prices. We  want to focus on unique and limited edition works (including sculptural works).

Submissions will be selected by the Liverpool Book Art team and Central Library Staff.

Submission details

  •  Price of table for both days £70 for artists; £100 for colleges/universities; £120 trade/suppliers

In your description please include:

  • a brief description of yourself and your artistic practice - maximimum 250 words
  • media used
  • an idea of the cost of your items

Images of your art:

  • Upload a maximum of 3 images
  • By uploading these images you give your permission for Liverpool Book Art to use them on the website, social media pages and in publicity for the fair. 

Please complete the 'artists’ book fair' form on the 'Make a Submission' tab with all of the relevant information. We will contact you after the deadline to let you know if you have successfully secured a table and to request payment.

Do I need to be present?
Yes
What publicity will be provided as part of the opportunity?
The Fair will be publicised via B.A.N.; our own website www.liverpoolbookart.com and Facebook page; printed flyers distributed locally and at other artist book fairs; Visit Liverpool, Liverpool City Council and Central Library websites.
The Fair will also benefit from the publicity and visitor numbers associated with the Liverpool carnival taking place the same weekend, including celebrating the 175th anniversary of the Cunard shipping company.
Does the location have disabled access?
Yes. The Fair takes place in the Discover area of the Library, on the lower ground floor. This is accessed via a spiral ramp or lift. There are no steps between the Library entrance and the venue.
