PUSK is a non-profit annual festival of light technology and digital arts in Vladivostok (Russia)

An event that combines art, best engineering solutions and electronic music. It is an art experiment of creating works of contemporary art in 14 days and their presentation at the unusual site of Vladivostok.

The theme of the festival this year is “The Future is Coming.” At the festival young artists create art installations on an unusual site of Vladivostok.

Applications to participate in the festival are open until June 30, 2016. All applications will undergo a selection process. We provide technical equipment, machinery and materials for art installation, but our budget is limited. If you are ready to pay the costs or part of the costs, please include information about that in your application. Also, you can take part in the festival without visiting Vladivostok. For example, we can integrate your digital works — photos, videos, graphics — into our art objects. We individually discuss how you can show you artworks at the festival.

PUSK gives new friends from warm-hearted Russia, unique experience of working side-by-side with young Russians keen on new art forms, and attention of hundreds of visitors — people of Vladivostok open to the new and unusual format of the event. Together we create the event that will show to the city something amazing.

On August 21, 2015 art installations and audiovisual objects about outer space appeared on the campus of Far Eastern Federal University for one evening only. For the first time in Vladivostok a big city art experiment “GR2: Outer Space” took place at the covered parking on Russky Island.

35 artists created 25 art installations on 2000 square meters. Singularities, planets, nebulas and space shuttles were themes of artworks by Vladivostok and Japanese designers, media artists and photographers. Young Moscow musician Jan Amit filled the space with his music — an organic blend of classical idm and melancholic post-rock with echoes of neurostep. There was no admission fee for visitors. Over 2500 people visited this unique 5-hour art event.

“GR2” won multiple Russian and regional event awards. Best Event — Eventiada Awards (Moscow). Best Media Project — Eastern Russia Awards (Moscow). Best Youth Event — Russian Events Awards (regional selection). Event of the Year — Ajax Awards.

On August 2, 2014 students and creative young people of Vladivostok transformed an abandoned school into an art object “Fiat Lux!” 12 artworks were installed on two floors of the old school on Russky Island.

Tale characters by a Swedish author Selma Lagerlöf came to life through video art and light objects with sound of dark ambient.

There were artworks by 17 artists located on 900 square meters in former school classrooms. For 5 hours over 700 people came to see “Fiat Lux!,” and there was no admission fee. The main event of the evening was DJ set by Ishome (Krasnodar).
