Art Textiles Made in Britain are a group of Textile Artists who exhibit and promote textile art in Britain. We are currently looking for a "NEW AND EMERGING" and an "ESTABLISHED" UK based textile artist to exhibit with us as a guest at the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham 2020 (and then tour to various venues throughout 2020)

Art Textiles Made in Britain is keen on supporting EMERGING textile artists, someone who has just completed a course of study or is perhaps just about to graduate. Someone who has not yet had much opportunity to show their work.

We are also looking for an ESTABLISHED textile artist (at least 5 years since graduating) with a regular exhibition profile in the UK.

You will need to be UK based, and you would need to be willing to exhibit new work or existing work appropriate to the theme "FOUND".

You would be responsible for getting your work to the venue at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham for the Festival of Quilts which will run from 30th July - 2nd August 2020. We would also expect the successful applicants to help with the hanging of the show and the take down on the last day if possible.

The “Found” show will then tour to various venues, not yet confirmed.

We would like to see up to 6 images of your existing work. This does not have to be work which you would show at the exhibition. However we would also like to know what ideas you might have as to new work you might make in response to the theme "Found".

Please let us know whether you are Emerging or Established when making your submission.

Have a look at the website for more information about the group: www.arttextilesmadeinbritain.co.uk
