News from CuratorSpace for December 2013

Lots of hot news from CuratorSpace this month with new image functionality, our first press article, new tutorial on managing submissions, and much more on the horizon.

Last chance to make a submission

It’s the last-but-one day to apply to the PAGES: 17th International Contemporary Artists' Book Fair 2014. The deadline for submissions is tomorrow, so if you want to be involved pop onto the website and make sure you make your submission in time.

CuratorSpace featured on WeLikeArtists!

We’re proud to tell you all about an article written by WeLikeArtists (www.welikeartists.com) about how CuratorSpace can help artists and curators make the most out of their open calls. It’s the first piece of press we’ve gotten so far, and we’re rather proud of it. Why not have a read of the article and tell us what you think?

WeLikeArtists have also created their own open call for their “Top Ten Art Advice Sites” listings. Submit your favourite artist advice websites, and you’ll get your name, personal website, and an image of your work published on the WeLikeArtists website.

New images functionality

We’ve rolled out some new image upload functionality which will make it a lot easier to upload images for submissions and opportunities. The new functionality doesn’t restrict you to landscape thumbnails or images, and shows you the progress of your upload so you’re not left wondering if it’s working or not.

Managing opportunity submissions tutorial

Did you know that CuratorSpace is all about the submissions? Not just getting submissions, but what you do after you’ve received them. This week we’ve written a tutorial on managing your submissions; how to sort through them, publish your decision, communicate with applicants, and generally organise everything with our easy-to-use tool kit. You can find the article at http://www.curatorspace.com/support/tutorials/manage-your-opportunity-submissions/3.

Not another listings site

CuratorSpace isn't another listings website; it's a place where curators and organisers can use custom online forms to allow artists to apply to their opportunity. It also allows you to see and manage all submissions made to your opportunity on the website, and to contact contributors directly.

Register now and you can start making submissions and even create your first opportunity for free.
