Elisaveta Sivas Estonia
Visual artist based in Estonia. Elisaveta Sivas has a university researcher background in the field of linguistics. She becomes a researcher of human nature and tries to find and to reveal the inner beauty of the person through her art. She concentrates on the exploration of the gender relationships and the individual place in modern world, on the eternal themes like love, kindness, family.
Elisaveta Sivas creates mostly ceramic sculpture, but also painting on canvas (oil, oil pastel, collage) and drawing (black and white, pen drawing, collage). She searches to understand human nature, interactions in the society, magic of the soul, beauty of this world and reminds the humans about the kindness and fragility of each soul. Elisaveta tells a story through her art and invites her observer to think and to discuss the problems of the individual in the nowaday society. She holds a PhD in Theoretical Linguisitcs from the State University of St.Petersbourg. She studied Fashion and Theatrical Costume in the "Art Future" Design School. She learnt ceramics and sculpture in private ceramic workshops in Paris, St.Petersbourg and Cyprus. She has travelled and lived in different countries like Russia, Estonia, France, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Holland, UK and has expressed her rich experiences in her art.
