To date I have been exhibiting as a visual artist and ceramicist. My work includes clay sculptures, oils, acrylics and mixed media work. I recently exhibited at the ‘Art&’ show in York (2018), regularly show at the ‘Wayward Gallery’ in Kirkham (2019, 2021) and take part in both the N. Yorkshire (2022) and Ryedale Open Studios (2021 &22) and Fronteer Gallery in Sheffield.

I grew up in rural Ayrshire as the daughter of a fitter. Fascinated by the connectedness of things; how nature flows; the realms of imagination and how things brush along together (or not), my focus connects my rural roots and heritage to my visual arts practice. I now want to learn how to incorporate digital and emerging technologies. I will extend my reach and connect with new audiences and collaborators using this approach.

In my early 20s in rural Aberdeenshire, I was a gallery manager, newly graduated in Psychology, Interested in the relationship between audiences and artwork, I wrote my dissertation on this, to understand the personality connection or repulsion communicated through the artwork itself between the artist and the viewer.

Yorkshire (2022) and Ryedale Open Studios (2021 &22) and Bog Hall, (2021&22). In the next 2 months I am showing with the Fronteer Gallery in Sheffield.

I want to explore the value of bringing digital layers into my work inspired by conversations with digital storytellers, and learning these skills will feed into a longer term future plan to bring artists together to explore cross skill digital collaborations.

Through this development I will learn new skills and knowledge on producing new work and also running workshops (online and face to face) to develop new digital creative solutions.
