Helen Dear London, United Kingdom
  Back to profiles

I am a London based artist and maker. My multi-disciplinary practice considers societal relationships with, and attitude towards sleep, as well as the language we use to describe our tiredness.

My practise is driven by a reiterative approach to my work. I take a playful attitude with a wide range of inspirations and materials, developing multiple samples which form the basis of my expanded final presentation. I work in an intuitive state enjoying a high level of experimentation.

Working across a variety of media, and allowing the original central concept to dictate the discipline, my work often transforms from 2D to 3D though is not limited to any one art form.

As well as exhibiting I have curated a number of exhibitions, and am interested in collaboration and further curational opportunities.
