Originally trained at Middlesex University, I went on to study for an MA at the Royal College of Art. Working mainly in metal, I utilize a range of techniques and processes to create small hand held objects through to large-scale architectural pieces, creating work for commissions, residencies and exhibitions.

I have a broad and open approach to exploring various themes that my projects have led to. Working in a process led way; ideas are allowed to be fluid making full use thorough research, thoughtful interpretation of the subject. I then select the appropriate technique, materials and scale to create a well informed considered final outcomes.

My work brings together research from museums, archives and working with others to inform the final artefacts.

Residencies have included Leicester Botanic Gardens, where I created three permanent sculptures for their collection, D Day 70 where I created an installation informed by Veteran’s and civilian’s recollections of D Day for Poole Museum and Muse De Liberation, Cherbourg. For the Gather-ing Commission, I, alongside 3 other artists responded to the archives in Somerset to create work inspired and exhibited in a National Trust Tithe Barn. Another recent project Muse: Makers in Museums referenced the technical drawings from the Morgan Giles boat yard in Teign Heritage archives and other documents and interviews with employees from the boat yard and family members. Another project I am currently working on is collaborating with another artist bringing together metal and glass.

I have extensive experience in teaching and running of workshops in schools, colleges and universities for a wide range of audiences - all ages, skill levels and backgrounds. This includes teaching on undergraduate and Foundation courses.
