Born in Mexico, I now divide my time between my home in Glen Lyon and my studio in Edinburgh. I also practice my art in the States and New Zealand. I studied art at Edinburgh College of Art and Leith school of Art and printmake at The Dundee Contemporary Art Centre and Edinburgh Printmakers.

I work in many materials but for many years have focused on the use of beeswax and raw pigments in painting. However, recently, inspired by the Māori carvers in New Zealand, I have turned to woodcut. I am interested in texture and relief work in natural materials and prefer to use the actual woodcut itself as the work of art rather than prints.
