Drawing for me is an act of understanding, love and acceptance. My work incorporates representation of internal states through gestures and mark making. My degree in psychology and my former career in social care and health are influences and I am interested in learning and developing a practice and methodology that can provide emotional and physical as well as cultural enrichment.

I’m originally from the North of England but now live in Snowdonia, North Wales. I completed a degree in Psychology and worked for more than 20 years in youth and family services, before undertaking an Online MA in Illustration with Falmouth University in 2022 prior to which I was mainly self-taught. I will graduate in 2024. My first love is drawing and I often work in coloured pencil. I now work in the community as an adult education teacher and have a particular interest in supporting wellbeing through the arts.
