Over the years I have studied many arts and crafts.I now focus on painting fine art using acrylic, recently experimenting with watercolour and mixed media. My crafts back ground has inspired and fuel'd my chosen path of painting. Art brings to life my experiences, memories and dreams, propelling me into fantasy landscapes and out of this world.

The fascination for fairy tales has a strong influence on my art today. I am self taught and have been painting for twelve years now. I am in an art group called Arts and Minds which I joined five years ago. I was exhibiting my work in joint exhibitions with my art group up until last year when I had my first solo exhibition.I have another solo exhibition booked for this October which I am painting for, it will run at the same time as our annual joint exhibition in the centre of Leeds.I am interested in various art projects, some of which have included CD covers ,working with classical composers, art walks, pop up exhibitions, working with other artists, commissions, tv and radio.

Into The Blue, Corinnas birthday flight, Leeds Gentleman's wash day, From sphere to eternity

Medium: Acrylic

Into the blue-As a child I would play in forests with my sister and brothers making dens and picking flowers for my Mum, this painting is a hint of that time. Corinnas birthday flight-A young girl dreamed of flying with Peter pan, she left her bedroom window open at night for years. One night on her 18th birthday Peter came for her. Gentleman's wash day-While on his adventures the Gentleman needed to do his washing. Being a gentleman he had to hang his smalls out away from prying eyes. From Shere to eternity- A fun abstract created with outer space in mind.

Too Much Too Soon

Medium: Acrylic

Some of my first paintings featured balloons. The balloon in this painting is very special. It has feelings and goes on adventures through my paintings. The balloon is normally red, but in the painting before titled "six pack" he had his first drink, only it was too much for him. So now he has turned green and is not feelling very well. The moral of the story is we some times have to learn the hard way.

The painting is of a beautiful arch that when one steps through it lives for ever. It is hidden deep in the woods at a secret location. Very few people ever finds it, but when they do their descision will have to be made on the spot before the arch disapheres and reapheres in a new location. What would you do if you were faced with the arch ?
