Hello! I am an Artist based in Wigan, Greater Manchester. My artistic practice is an attentive exploration of the treasures found in science, nature and my local environment. I’m intrigued by the weave and weft, colour and shapes that often go unnoticed in the world around us. My practice uses a wide range of mediums including textiles, digital technology and recycled materials to record my observations. I experiment with digital media, photo, moving-image, fabrics, pen and pencil to recreate the qualitative elements and synthetic representation of my everyday environment. I studied Art & Design (Fine Art) throughout my education. I have a Certificate of Higher Education in Art & Design and graduated with a BA Honours degree in Art History in 2014. I became an Associate Artist with Cross Street Arts in 2016. Between 2016 - 2018, I coordinated the D:Circus Digital Art Project; a two-year programme funded by Arts Council England and Wigan Council, working with Wigan Libraries and Museums to deliver high quality digital art. I founded Artist Discuss in 2018, a peer support initiative for artists of all creative background and deliver this on a voluntary basis and in fellowship with TERM Art Classes. I recently set up the Wigan & Leigh Art Map to map the art community across Wigan Borough.
