Originally from Camden Town now reside in Dorset. I’ve been painting and drawing my whole life, inspired firstly by artists within my family. I’ve always had a need and desire to create either in painting, drawing or music. My art starts improvisational based on impulsive feelings thoughts or dreams that are inspiring to me. I studied Art and Design. I work as an upholsterer and teach karate

I use a mix of inks, acrylics and pens to achieve my art. I see my art as a mixture of chaos and control but always looking for some kind of equilibrium like an outward expression of my psyche, the act of creating becoming some kind of self therapy. I achieved this through impulsive expressive strokes and splats followed by more detailed thoughtful work. My art can be quite biomorphic in appearance which is influenced by my love of microscopic organisms and space objects. The outlining in my work comes from my artist inspirations Miro, Kandinsky and Matta and old cartoons and pop art. I really can’t resist drawing outlines round anything I paint or draw (my way of adding control to the sometimes chaotic thoughts and feelings within one’s self)
