Sharon Hall Shipp Breconshire, United Kingdom
  Back to profiles

My art practice is largely concerned with exploring themes of family life, domestic space and communication.

My work often has geographical and archaeological dimensions. I work in 2D and 3D with paper, textile, photography (original and found), found objects, performance and sound, and use many techniques including drawing, digital drawing, printing, handstitching and collage. My work also includes altered books and artists' books.   I exhibit regularly and my work is in private collections in the UK, Europe and the US, and in the Tate Collection of Artists' Books.   I collaborate with the artist Richard Shipp on video and sound work.

A selection of my work can be seen at www.sharonhallshipp.co.uk
