Protecting the spoken words of others; their phrases, habits and over use of language, ensures they remain personally relevant and perhaps more importantly, present. The power of words, also provide us with an infinite source of reassurance, all while affording the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of communication.

By preferring to use a variety of media, to authentically discover the fragments of memory, although recently this has provided connections to voice and action. Throughout the work, I aim to create responses through; ceramics, printmaking, painting, photography and film. My studio is a space where I can be reactive to the development of my work, allowing a variety of mediums and works to run parallel, producing a continuation of work.

In order to create pieces which faithfully retain the echoes of memory and the power of words, I remain, particularly interested with discoveries which take place through these investigations to materials and processes. By remaining open minded, I willingly unpick the influences, between these relationships, aiming to promote a platform which upholds, personal power, voice, and self-belief to all BAME identifying individuals, through my work.
