Ellie Robinson-Carter is an Illustrator, Researcher, Creative Dementia Practitioner and Lecturer based in Falmouth, UK.
Ellie devises creative frameworks and invites individuals to take ownership of them, fostering their authorial voices and personal narratives. Working locally, nationally and internationally, Ellie works with people living with dementia and their carers, using creative practice to nurture individual’s self-confidence, independence and self-expression. Recent projects include ‘Passing the Parcel’ - an intergenerational creative correspondence project between Penryn College and Penryn Memory Cafe, devised and delivered in collaboration with award-winning poet Sally Crabtree, funded by the Big Lottery. As part of her role at the Sensory Trust Ellie is lead artist on project Observations in Nature, based on her MA project ‘Observations by the Happy Wanderers’. The 'Observations by' project invites people living with dementia and their carers to document their shared experiences in nature through photography and book-making.
