I am a sculptor working predominantly in bronze and Cor-ten steel, producing sculptures for both indoor and outdoor settings. I have also produced work for large public sculpture commissions and am available for private commissions. I provide workshops for schools and will shortly be running bronze casting courses with my husband and sculpting partner. In addition I make water features.

I draw and paint with machine thread onto mostly furnishing fabrics using animals as my inspiration. I love textures and layers and although you can achieve this with paint, stitch can really encourage the viewer to speculate on how the work was achieved. I live in Brighton, East Sussex and teach Art and Textiles at a local Secondary School.

My daughter constantly inspires me to create, play and relish the joy, the curiosity, the happy accident and the mess. I aspire to curate curious worlds of colour, whimsy and joy; crossing seamlessly between mediums (i.e. photography, textiles, print) and blending the vintage, the nostalgic, the folk and the fairytale.

I grew up amongst the textile industry spending my childhood playing amongst the derelict mills. Drawn back to the rugged and remote beauty of the Pennines I began roaming the ancient footpaths, turnpike roads and bridleways to capture the drama of our landscape, its social and industrial heritage and the lives of the people who lived here.
