    The lockdown presented me with a golden opportunity to pursue my passion in Art. My creations are inspired by beauty in nature , colours and intuitive guidance Acrylics are my favourite medium, however I can create using other mediums. My creations have been exibited at the Boomer Gallery Open Call II in May 2022

    My art practice is rooted in drawing which evolves and crosses mediums. My work explores the intensely debated topics of race and sex and gender and colonisation. I am spontaneous and experimental person, and drawing allows for a playfulness and and openness in my work; I incorporate the simple joy and light of life itself.

    Mike Chavez-Dawson is an interdisciplinary artist-curator based at Rogue Artists’ Studios, Manchester, UK. “An increasing trait in my work sees us continually plundering ‘arts’ constructed mythologies whilst being drawn to the esoteric, and the mania of the artistic process. Systems of belief and power play are areas that I seek to deconstruct.

    I am a contemporary artist based in Crewe, with strong links to North Wales and the Welsh Borders. I originally trained as a painter but now specialise in various techniques of original printmaking, print collage, and in artists books. I worked in adult education for many years, and run occasional workshops in collagraph printmaking and artists books.

    In 1985 I graduated from Winchester School of Art specialising in textile design and printed surfaces. Following a solo career as a textile designer and printer I made a natural transition towards painting in 1997. In 2021 I decided to leave a specialist teaching post to become a full time painter and establish my practice and professional presence. I live and work in Ditchling, East Sussex

    My photography interests range from epic travel landscapes, inspiring events, to people carrying out their day-to-day activities. I have travelled independently to many countries and lived abroad several times. This has inspired my passion for capturing the essence of a scene, the emotion a great real-life story, and a taste of different cultures from around the world.

    Samiya Younis is a British-Kashmiri-Pakistani artist based in London, she is a curator, educator, and advocate/voice for women's empowerment and liberation. Her work is concerned with exploring her identity and struggles as a second-generation woman of migrant parents from a South Asian culture. She explores gender violence and the histories and legacies of colonialism.

    Having enjoyed various crafts throughout my life, I found bookbinding 5 years ago, and was immediately hooked! Since then, I have taken many courses, enjoying learning traditional and new techniques on an inspirational journey. I now sell my handmade books through local craft shops, have undertaken commissions and have begun to deliver workshops to spread the joy of making handmade books.

    Christine Thomas is a fine artist with a multi-disciplinary practice and often works with textiles. Her areas of interest include locational identity and the domestic, often from a feminist perspective and explore the use of nature and the domestic.
