  Back to profiles

I am a textiles artist and lecturer based in Swansea. I am also part of IF Textiles group who exhibit regularly with events such as Swansea festival of stitch. Until recently I have been a full time lecturer but am now trying to build a business as an artist, running workshops.

Mainly working with textiles materials, stitch with mixed media's such as paper to create textural effects. Exploring the use of machine and hand stitch, heat guns and soldering irons. I am interested in nature and/or things that are familiar to me. Wales is always a huge inspiration, for both it's beautiful landscapes and it's rich cultural heritage. I have recently been working with digital prints of my own paintings and my late grandfathers paintings, evoking thoughts of nostalgia and local history.
