Art Textiles Made in Britain Guest Artist
Deadline: 15/12/2017Venue: Festival of Quilts, NEC Birmingham | City: Birmingham | Region: West Midlands | Country: United Kingdom | Rosie James
Art Textiles Made in Britain are a group of Textile Artists who exhibit and promote textile art in Britain. We are currently looking for a new emerging UK based textile artist to exhibit with us as a guest at the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham 2018.
As a group Art Textiles Made in Britain is keen on promoting new and exciting textile artists, we are looking for someone who has just completed a course of study or is perhaps just about to graduate. Someone who has not yet had much opportunity to show their work. You will need to be UK based, and you would need to be willing to exhibit new work or existing work appropriate to the theme "Wild".
You would be responsible for getting your work to the venue at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham for the Festival of Quilts which runs from 9-12th August 2018. We would also expect the successful applicant to help with the hanging of the show and the take down on the last day if possible.
We would like to see up to 6 images of your existing work. This does not have to be work which you would show at the exhibition. However we would also like to know what ideas you might have as to new work you might make in response to the theme "Wild".
Have a look at the website for more information about the group www.arttextilesmadeinbritain.co.uk
