Are you a biracial or multi-ethnic artist?

As a biracial artist, I am aware of the barriers that we face not only in society but also in the art sphere. Our unique experiences and stories are often overlooked and not recorded. Tackling identity and where we belong within society can sometimes be a challenge, as we do not always fit into one culture. It is important that our stories are shared and represented, as we inspire others in a celebration of acceptance. I will be curating and installing your work, however I would like to stay in close contact with you regarding the curation so that your story is told accurately and effectively.

Where is the exhibition?

The Malthouse, 9 The Crescent, York YO24 1AW

The exhibition will take place at a vibrant new venue in York called The Malthouse. The venue has its’ own gallery space which is situated upstairs. The site was once an abandoned warehouse but is now a thriving art hub showcasing a range of creative work from numerous artists. The footfall we have at the venue is high therefore your work will be seen by a wide range of audiences.
