Round Lemon: Associate Artists, Guest Writers and Workshop Hosts
Deadline: 29/06/2021City: Birmingham | Region: West Midlands | Country: United Kingdom | Bethan Jayne
We are looking for people to work with us and become Round Lemon Associate Artists, Guest Writers and Workshop Hosts.
Associate Artists are artists who sell work through our site. When being accepted as an Associate Artist you will recieve a free profile page on the Associate Artist section of Round Lemon. You will then be entitled to list and sell your work on the Art Shop with a low commission of 11% + 30p per item. If you are based in the UK you will be able to list any kind of artwork and for those based outside of the UK we will sell prints of your work. Artists will also be promoted on our social media pages. To see more of our Associate Artists, please head to this link: Associates — Round Lemon
Guest Writers are people who contribute to our ZEST blog, including essays, interviews and creative writing. This is an unpaid role, but it is good for those looking to find a platform to publish their work and get it seen. Guest Writers will also have a associate profile and will be promoted on our social media. Our ZEST blog can be found here: Blog 2 — Round Lemon
Workshop Hosts come up with various online workshops and lead them to a group of attendees over ZOOM. The commission is the same as that for Associate Artists. Again, the Workshop Hosts will have a profile on our website and will be promoted on our social media. We are open to all and any workshop ideas.
The Application Process
-
The applicant submits a completed application form.
-
The application is viewed by our application committee and is assessed under three different categories.
-
Artistic or Cultural quality. Does the Artwork contain relevant, original and engaging qualities that are sensitive towards associated themes and connotations?
-
Suitability. Is the artwork deemed suitable for the Round Lemon and ZEST brands?
-
Marketability. Is there a commercial desire for the work, whether public or privately?
-
-
The committee votes to see if the application is successful.
-
Within 14 days of submission the applicant is contacted with the verdict of the committee via email - accepted or rejected.
-
i. After verifying their age, successful applicants will go on to liaise with the application committee to address the needs of the Artist and what Round Lemon can do for them.
ii. Feed back will be given to any rejected applications. Unsuccessful applicants may re-apply 6 months after the date of original verdict.
