Are you an artist ready for a big solo show? Or a group of artists wanting a prestigious gallery space? The Ballroom at BallroomArts in Aldeburgh, Suffolk, UK invites requests for the gallery hire.

BallroomArts is the newest, most prestigious gallery in East Anglia.  Since our opening last September over 45 different artists have shown their work in both solo and group shows. 

Our larger upstairs space, The Ballroom provides 190 square metres of hanging space overall, with glorious natural light, elegant spotlighting and views of the sea. This sophisticated, contemporary venue is approximately three times the size of our smaller Courtyard Gallery and provides very good value for group shows. Are there payments to artists?
Artists manage all aspects of sales. BallroomArts does not take commission.
Is there a private view / opening?
Artists renting the galleries can manage their own Private Views and events.
What are the exhibition opening hours?
Standard hours are 10am - 6pm, but artists can define their own times.
Does the location have disabled access?
Yes, there is a lift.
What publicity will be provided as part of the opportunity?
Listings on the BallroomArts website and social media.
Do I need to be present?
Artists must invigilate their own shows and manage any sales.
How do you decide on proposals?
The quality of the work is paramount, followed by the style of presentation. Proposals need to show that the artist has sufficient experience to manage all aspects of a large show.
What happens if my proposal is chosen?
Dates are agreed, installation queries answered, paperwork is prepared, invoices sent, 50% deposit paid, advance promotion on our website and social media.
What kind of proposals are you looking for?
We are looking for proposals which consider the fullest and most imaginative use of BallroomArts.
What are the selection criteria?
Our Selection team is hoping for a wide range of subjects and media. We review the range and quality of the work for the benefit of all the artists showing / selling and equally the BallroomArts brand.
