Deconstructed Nativity

We are seeking to re-imagine the Christmas Nativity scene spanning traditional and contemporary ideas. We want to use contemporary art to discuss the well known scene and the issues that it brings up.
You're invited to choose one aspect of the nativity from the list below and explore the idea in whatever way you feel led – we openly encourage thoughts and ideas from a wide range of world views and perspectives.
Artists may submit for one or several titles whilst keeping each piece as a separate submission.
We are open to submissions in any medium including:
- Painting/drawing
- Photography
- 3D work
- Installation
- Video
- Performance
Each piece should be based on one of the following themes:
Bethlehem – Star – Magi – Stable – Donkey – Angel(s) – Gabriel – Shepherds – Herod – Baby – Virgin Mary – Joseph – Sheep – Donkey – Gold, Frankincense, Myrrh – Manger – Prophet
