The Fruitmarket Gallery presents a fair full of books, gifts and activities for children and families.

For the second year running, we’re inviting our favourite children's publishers and makers of children’s goods to join us for a jam-packed weekend of activities, readings and lots on sale that kids will love, and that we're delighted to present under one roof.

Over four thousand visitors attend our markets at The Fruitmarket Gallery in Edinburgh each year. For LittlesMarket we are inviting publishers, makers and retailers of children’s goods to apply for a stall on the CuratorSpace website. If you would like to propose other ideas for stalls or activities for families, please detail them in the notes section.

Who is eligible for this opportunity?
Publishers, makers and retailers of children’s goods are welcome to apply for a stall. If in doubt whether you qualify, please apply – you are probably doing something interesting!
When is the deadline?
The deadline is 1st August, 2016. Please only fill in this form after that date if you have agreed with The Fruitmarket Gallery that you can submit a late application.
How much does it cost?
Stalls cost £75 + VAT.
What are the financial prospects for participants?
Publishers, makers and retailers can expect to make money on the stalls, and we work hard to drive in good visitor numbers to make this possible.
Is there a private view / opening?
No, the market will be open on the Saturday morning.
What are the LittlesMarket opening hours?
Saturday 29 October 10am–6pm and Sunday 30 October 10am–5pm.
Does the location have disabled access?
Yes, with flat entrance and lift access to the upper floor.
What publicity will be provided as part of the opportunity?
Participants will be listed on the printed poster and leaflet for the event. LittlesMarket and its participants will also be promoted through the Fruitmarket Gallery's website and well-followed social media. A press release will be sent to relevant publications and an e-Flyer sent to the Gallery's mailing list of 8000+ subscribers.
Do I need to be present?
Yes. Stalls have better success when personally hosted and it is also great for stall holders to meet customers.
What are the selection criteria?
We are looking for publishers, makers and retailers who offer singular, well-made, and thoughtfully designed products to families. We market the event as an opportunity to buy goods, so usually people come expecting that.
What happens if my proposal is chosen?
We will be in touch with any additional information stall holders require in the run up to the event.
Is wall space provided?
Yes, wall space can be provided if specified. Please flag if you have any items you wish to hang and require assistance from our Technical Team.
Will there be events? Can I do an event?
There will be an exciting programme of events during the market. Please let u sknow about ideas you might have in the notes section of your submission.
