Living Small, Thinking Big
Deadline: 19/05/2021Venue: Online | Anna-Maria Amato
The Covid restrictions have narrowed our physical spaces but given us the time to think bigger and prepare for better. Artists are invited to submit an artwork under the theme of 'Taking Flight' for our 'Living Small, Thinking Big' online show. The online exhibition will take the form of an interior design concept, with artworks linking to artists' website and any print on demand sites, where artists' artworks can be printed on soft furnishings.
Artists are ask to submit either works which have already been created, or works made in response to the open call. The works can either be 2D works in an online shop which can be linked to, or a good quality image which can be uploaded to a print on demand site which includes soft furnishings.
The SHARP Gallery is a unique and innovative project, turning a drab meeting room into a popular gallery space at the SHARP building. Since being established in 2011 it has exhibited the work of over 120 artists, many of whom use mental health services. The gallery has transformed the physical environment and the experiences for staff and service users, as well as giving a platform for emerging artists to exhibit. The gallery is currently working online until further notice.
