On Sunday the 16th December, The London Alternative Photography collective meets Bright Rooms in Peckham. For one day only, a selection of artists working with alternative photographic techniques will have unrestricted access to all printing and studio facilites.

The London Alternative Photography collective supports practitioners who challenge traditional ways of printing images to reflect on contemporary issues. The collective is also a platform for exchange of knowledge and skills, as well as creative ideas and exhibition concepts.

Bright Rooms is an open access darkroom & studio, based in Peckham Levels. They have built their darkroom from scratch to provide a fresh new working environment to facilitate photographers and printers, build community and share their love of analogue technique.

For one day only, a selection of LAPC artists working with unconventional and alternative photographic techniques will have unrestricted access to all printing and studio facilities. We invite you to submit a short proposal for how you would like to utilise the space and facilities. Please think about how the work could engage with visitors and other artists. Interactive, participatory and collaborative proposals are welcome.

The work made during the day will then have the opportunity to be exhibited in Peckham Levels, on the evening of the 16th of December as a popup exhibition.
