Non traditional life drawing tutors needed
Deadline: 01/05/2021City: Leeds | Region: West Yorkshire | Country: United Kingdom | amelia wood
Paid opportunity
See You Naked Thursday is a non-traditional life drawing event run on behalf of Assembly House in partnership with Left Bank Leeds. Each session is hosted by a different artist who runs a themed session from 7pm-9pm every Thursday evening.
Our sessions are a non-judgemental celebration of bodies in a fun friendly and supportive environment. Our main ethos is to make art accessible and take life drawing away from the perceived exclusivity of traditional sessions, we encourage all ages and abilities to attend. We challenge traditional sessions by responding each week with a different theme from a local artist to navigate the session.
We are looking for local creatives to lead a two hour paid life drawing session, the sessions must include a theme or idea that will create an interesting and fun new way to draw whist looking at the figure.
There is no need for formal teaching experience or any art background but must be confident in leading a large group session. Suggested sessions could include and not limited to movement, sound, drag, poetry and performance.
Some highlighted sessions have been with the party moms society, a musical take over with duo Kmelia and a session with local contemporary dancer Mayowa.
The sessions are held at Left Bank Leeds every Thursday starting 20th May.
