We are looking for artists to utilise the two notice boards attached to our gallery, running in conjunction with our programme of exhibitions.

The gallery space is located within the iconic Carliol House, through which you access the NewBridge Project studios and communal workspace. A thoroughfare, the gallery has a large footfall of studio members, artists and attendees of all Practice Makes Practice events. The noticeboards are located in the hallway, with one on each side, seperated by the the doorway. They are A1 soft wood frames with glass window panels and a blue felt backing. This is a unique space we wish to develop with emerging practitioners, seeking submissions for artists to install works inside. We are open to all ideas and concepts, be creative.

Each installation would be up for a month, overlapping with our programmed exhibitions, starting mid month and variating each 30 days.

We look forward to hearing your ideas.

GOLDTAPPED is a versatile space based in The NewBridge Project, Newcastle upon Tyne. Our aim is to provide space for experimentation, development and support emerging artist practices. Our programme includes exhibitions, interviews, talks and workshops bi-monthly. We are looking to forge artist and project exchanges with other cities, particularly in the North of Britain. Our current showing is Dimples Format II by Rebecca Gavigan and Victoria Mcdermott, an intervention currently happening in the gallery at various intervals.

The project is directed by M I L K Co-Founder Juliet Fleming and i o u a e Founder Stacey Davidson. Juliet Fleming (b.1991), Co-Founder of MILK artist collective. She directed The Byker Gallery project, where a vacant shop on Shields Road in Byker hosted 4 exhibitions over a month-long period. Stacey Davidson (b.1993) runs an arts organisation set up in Newcastle upon Tyne to support the practices of student, graduate and emerging artists. Her aim is to provide opportunities for collaboration, development and networking between artists, commissioning several projects a year, allowing them to build upon their professional CV.

Both i o u a e and MILK have been listed as part of the ARTIST-LED HOT 100 publication produced for a-n.
