We are looking for Yorkshire based emerging talent in any creative discipline for our fourth annual emerging artists and makers exhibition.

If you are currently studying on a creative degree course in Yorkshire, or graduated in 2016, this is a fantastic opportunity for you to exhibit your work at Sunny Bank Mills in Leeds!

 

Previous exhibitors, apart from putting on an amazing exhibition:

  • earned cash prizes - we will have a number of prizes available this year!
  • sold their work (and a number continue to be stocked by us)
  • used the information on their C.V’s to obtain other commissions and exhibitions
  • was used by students as part of their professional practice and personal development
  • networked with other creative practitioners

 Who

Students in any creative discipline from across Yorkshire who are currently studying at degree level or one-year post qualification. (Graduated in 2016)

Mid –way between Leeds and Bradford; 3,000 square feet of light airy exhibition and performance space in this former worsted mill which is also home to a number of creative businesses including graphic designers, and commercial photographers.

Who is eligible for this opportunity?
Students in any creative discipline from across Yorkshire who are currently studying or one year post qualification (Graduated in 2016)
When is the deadline?
18th January 2017
How many works can I submit?
You can submit 3 works for consideration or submit a proposal. Please include images of past work if choosing to propose new work.
When is the delivery date?
25th February - 1st March 2017
When do I need to collect my work?
2nd-3rd April 2017
Are there payments to artists?
There will be a number of cash prizes available and the opportunity to sell work. The gallery will take 30% commission on works sold.
Is there a private view / opening?
Yes - the private view will be on Friday 3rd of March 2017 6-8pm
What are the exhibition opening hours?
Tuesday - Saturday 10-4
Sunday 11-3
Mondays closed
Does the location have disabled access?
Yes. Disabled access from rear entrance and Accessible toilet.
What happens if my proposal is chosen?
You will be notified by email if you have been successful by 1st February 2017 at the latest and guidelines for exhibiting will be sent out at that time.
