OPEN CALL – Artworks for ‘YOUR ART IS A LOAD OF S**T’ exhibition at BINit. All mediums considered.

BINit is an industrial waste bin that is situated inside a gallery space. Questioning the relationship between institution and artist, appropriation and authorship, BINit proposes an alternative site for viewing art, highlighting the position of the critic.

‘YOUR ART IS A LOAD OF S**T’ welcomes artists to submit creative pieces that respond to the production of art in relation to institutional frameworks. Shoving art into our everyday lives by parodying the exhibition system, proposes a new way of experiencing art.

All mediums welcome – refer to size restrictions and submission details

No art will be rejected…but it will definitely end up in a bin

Size Restriction:

Works should be no larger than 60cm x 44cm

The artist is responsible for the safe delivery of the artwork (post/courier), details will be sent as soon as your submission has been accepted.

As the longevity of these artworks cannot be predetermined, all submissions will be documented in situ and emailed to the artist. Be aware, once sent your artwork will not be returned unless requested in advance.

- Once your submission is accepted, send artwork

Please note: by submitting works to this project you are giving permission for your work to be exhibited inside a bin situated within a gallery. When the bin reaches maximum capacity, it will be emptied and the process will start again. Submitted pieces will also be featured online and included in future publications.
