'Symbol'. 23 November - 4 January 2020. Open Call for submissions for our Christmas exhibition. We may not get any snow, but we do need lots of lovely artworks!

As ever we are seeking a variety of works across all media responding to the title 'Symbol'. A broad interpretation is encouraged.

Symbol - A symbol is a mark, sign or word that indicates, signifies, or is understood as representing an idea, object, or relationship. Symbols allow people to go beyond what is known or seen by creating linkages between otherwise very different concepts and experiences.

Or

A thing that represents or stands for something else, especially a material object representing something abstract.

We are happy to receive applications now but will keep the deadline open until midnight Monday 15 October.

Selected work will need to be delivered to Cupola no later than Friday 15 November, although we can certainly accept work earlier. Feel free to submit single items, groups or collections of work.

All works should be for sale and the gallery takes commission on works sold. There is no fee for submitting works for consideration.

To work out the overall price of your work, please use the following formula:

Your wholesale price x 2.2 = retail including the VAT we have to charge. ie. £100 x 2.2 = £220.  £100 to artist, £100 to gallery £20 to HMRC.
