Open Call: Penny Drops Podcast
Deadline: 30/04/2019Region: Greater Manchester | Country: United Kingdom | Penny Thoughts
We are looking for new music, spoken word and/or experimental sound to publish in our bi-weekly podcast
The aim of Penny Drops is to accomodate artists using sound by providing a platform to publish artwork and to discuss that work freely. We would like artists to submit their soundbites, mixes, symphonies, poetry or any audio they’re trying out.
We have released 3 episodes of Penny Drops already. You can find it on spotify by searching 'Penny Drops'
Penny Drops is a sister organisation to Penny Thoughts, originally a free Manchester based publication now spreading itself around the country. On a single a4 sheet of recycled paper we compile the visual and textual art of our contributors.
Penny Thoughts prints ‘creative impulses’, especially those marginal ideas, half-baked plans, momentary or unformed organisms of inspiration. Be it poetry, illustration, photographs etc. it is what you make of it. Now, Penny Thoughts is broadening its horizons to include those impulses which are inevitably excluded by print.
Please submit links to sound files as .mp3 or .wav files.
Feel free to check out all 15 (so far!) issue of Penny Thoughts on our instagram:
