Artists are invited to make Site Specific responses to Osmundwall, Hoy, Orkney to be shown in a small display space next to the beach.

The site of Osmundwall has a number of specific possible inspirations for artists.

1. Orkney Inga Saga is a series of tales about the Norse Earls of Orkney.  Beach Gallery is located on the waters edge of the sheltered Viking harbour of Osmundwall that features in one of the tales about an attempt to convert the faith of Orkney Earl Sigurd from Pagan.

2. The mausoleum of the Moodie Family.

3. The gateway to the Snelsetter castle estate.

4. The Longhope Lifeboat disaster memorial.

Artists are invited to submit work that responds to Osmundwall.  Work will be displayed at Beach Gallery during the 2020 summer season (May to September).
