We're accepting curator & artist-led proposals for our 830sqm centrally-located, fully accessible community arts space.

Platform Southwark is a visual & performing arts space in Central London. Since 2015 we've built up a reputation for our residencies, exhibitions and supportive artist-led community. 2019 marks the second year of Platform Projects, our programme for emerging artists, and we're putting out an open call for exhibitions of either 2 or 4 weeks over October 2019.

Evidence of an external funding application and a commitment to some events (workshops, talks, performances etc) that run alongside the exhibition will strengthen any submission, and are non-negotiable for any 4 week exhibition.

We're right next to Southwark station, and a 5 minute walk from both Waterloo and Tate Modern. Our gallery space and toilets are fully accessible. The gallery is 830sq. f or 77sq m. We're open to all ideas, including use of our large courtyard space (see images).

You will be responsible for the promotion, opening and invigilation of your exhibition. This opportunity is free to apply and there are no fees, however we may ask for a security deposit to be refunded on the conclusion of your exhibition.

***We suggest that if possible you do not wait until the application deadline to submit, as we are reviewing applications regularly.

Platform Southwark is generously supported by Transport for London.
