Caraboo Projects are inviting proposals from artists working in any discipline for our Scratch Lab initiative. The aim of the Scratch Lab is to provide artists with a focused environment to explore ideas, take risks and make connections.

Successful applicants will be invited to develop work resulting in an installation, interactive project, or performance in our main exhibition space alongside other selected artists/groups. The exhibition space will be available during the week leading up to a Friday evening event for artists to develop work and/or prepare the space.

The proposed dates for the Scratch Lab are as follows:

Week 1: Mon 11 – Sat 16 March 2019 (with a live event/opening night Fri 15 March)

Week 2: Mon 6 – Sat 11 May 2019 (with a live event/opening night Fri 10 May)

Please bear in mind that the Scratch Lab is not funded and is run by volunteers. Whilst we aim to secure funding for the initiative in future unfortunately we cannot help with travel expenses or any other associated costs for the current events. Caraboo Projects can help with installation, promotion and some AV equipment so try to let us know what help from us you will need.

To be considered for the Scratch Lab we require you to complete the submission form. On that form please indicate which week you would be available for or state whether you are available for both.

We will respond to submissions by 17th February.
