TACUK is an independant arts organisation with triannual competitions to support artists in the continuation of their practice. The winning artist will receive the £1000 Prize Fund (£750 cash prize plus a £250 materials voucher from GreatArt).

The Annex Collection Acquisition Award supports artists with an injection of funds to assist with the continuation of their practice and also provides a platform to enable the purchase of new work. The winning artist will receive a £750 cash prize plus a £250 voucher to spend on materials from GreatArt. We ask that the artist who is selected for the Acquisition Award exchange their selected work for inclusion in the collection.

The Award is open to submissions from artists working across all mediums, including (but not limited to):

  • Painting
  • Printmaking
  • Drawing
  • Sculpture
  • Installation
  • Performance (documentation / performance rights)
  • Participatory Happenings
  • Moving Image & Video
  • Fine Art Photography
  • New Media 
  • Conceptual 

We advise artists to submit work they consider to be of a value close to the prize fund.

What happens if my work is chosen?
The winner of each Award will receive £750 cash + £250 of GreatArt vouchers. In exchange for The Annex Collection Acquisition Award, the winner will donate their selected artwork to The Annex Collection.
We are unable to pay for postage and/or transport costs for the delivery of winning works. This remains the artist's responsibility, however where possible we will come and collect work. The Acquisition Award payment will be made upon safe receipt of the winning artwork.
