EXCESSIVE HUMAN COLLECTIVE presents: “THE INGENIOUS ONES – PART III” and you can be  a part of it! On the 19th of January 2019, EXCESSIVE HUMAN COLLECTIVE will run an exciting evening for emerging female and non-binary artists to present their work. We would like to give a platform to various artists so that different disciplines can meet and inspire each other.

This time around we would like all acts and art to be female or non-binary led.  We are welcoming anyone with a background in theatre, dance, spoken word, visual arts, installations, fine art, circus, film, DJ’s, photography, live music… literally anyone is welcome, we also encourage work from hearing and visually impaired artists and disabled artists, however, please note that unfortunately the venue is not wheelchair accessible.

We will be able to offer a small amount of money to cover transport costs, this will be discussed with the selected artists after acceptance into the event.

We are also excited to offer the accepted artists footage of their performances and professional photographs of their work.

The event will take place at Wharf Chambers Middle Floor in Leeds on the 19th January from 7:00 PM, but we ask that you are available from 3:00 PM onwards.

To apply please provide us with the information detailed below and submit it by Friday the 23rd of November at 10:00 PM.

  • Tell us a bit about who you are and describe what you will be presenting

  • Medium, for example film, performance, installation, …

  • Amount of people involved

  • Idea, content or aim of the work

  • How long will the work be? (we offer slots of 20 minutes max., with an exception of 30 minutes max. for musicians)

  • Do you have any special requirements? (technical requirements, a certain amount of space needed, certain floor, specific lights, set-up time, access requirements…)

  • Does the work contain nudity, explicit language, shocking effects, … anything the audience should be warned for?

  • Anything else you want to say about your work?

  • Please attach a file or link supporting the work you wish to present.  It doesn’t matter if the work is still under construction, we would like to see whatever you have so far.

  •  Let us know how much money you require for transportation costs – this includes yourself as the performer, any artwork you may have to transport and any equipment you may need. We will do our best to cover all your costs, but due to limited funds we cannot guarantee that.

We’re very excited to read about you and your work and hope to hear from you soon! We will do our very best to give you an answer by Friday 30th November.
