Buy the Kilo is looking for artists who produce work, highlighting environmental issues regarding plastic.

I am a plastic activist artist and opened Buy the Kilo a zero waste, bulk food store 18 months ago. We have a small Gallery space within our shop. I am looking for artists, that promote recycling and highlight the blight of plastic in the environment within their work.

Chosen Artists will exhibit for a month, with the opportunity to sell, paying 20% commission to the shop. The artist is responsible for getting their work to and from the shop, when it is their time to exhibit. They can post it and I will hang as instructed.  They can exhibit two pieces of work no larger than 100cm square or a number of smaller pieces to fit into that size. Artists must have their own Artist insurance.

When is the delivery date?
If chosen, you must deliver your work the week before your allocated slot, so that when we take down one exhibition, we can then replace it straight away with the next slot.
When do I need to collect my work?
asap. we are a small shop and have nowhere to store art works.
How much does it cost?
it is free to enter, but you must cover all costs of getting your work to us and collection. we are a small business and are just creating an exhibition space for artists to exhibit. we have no money to pay for any sending and receiving works.
