Void Collective Open Call. We are seeking submissions of Contemporary artworks of any media for the inaugural exhibition titled ‘The New Black’

‘The New Black’ Open Call

Void Collective is an art collective, that circles around the themes of absence, loss and mourning and explores how our relationship with these themes is often caught up in our attachments to the material world.

We are very pleased to announce an exciting open call seeking submissions of Contemporary artworks of any media for the inaugural exhibition by Void Collective titled ‘The New Black’, which is borrowed from Darian Leader’s 2009 publication of the same title.

We are seeking submissions that identify and explore with a wide variety of current ideas around absence, loss and mourning.

“But do we ever get with the idea of getting over our losses? Don’t we, rather, make them a part of our lives in different ways, sometimes fruitfully, sometimes catastrophically, but never painlessly?”
