We would love to see you at the opening but its not required. Likewise for the installation of your work you don't need to be present UNLESS you need to specifically install your work which we can arrange before hand.
How do you decide on proposals?
We will do what we always do - We will download all the images and their descriptions and make our decisions on that and that alone. We don't care if your an amateur artist, a student or you've been making work for 40+ years - all we are interested in is the artwork itself. In previous shows we have had well known artists on the wall beside people who have never exhibited shown their work before.
What happens if my proposal is chosen?
We will send you an email to let you know which pieces have been chosen and make sure you are still wanting/able to participate. We will then ask you if their is any additional info we need to know and confirm the times and dates for everything with you.
What are the selection criteria?
Is it good, is it art, will it it fit through the door...?
Who even are you people?
Pineapple Black is Co-Directed by artists Stephen Irving and Bobby Benjamin. Our space has been open since January 2019 and you can see examples of our shows and the works we've shown in the past by searching for @pineappleblackarts on Facebook or Instagram.
