Deadline: 19/06/2020Venue: Online gallery being developed for the exhibtion | City: Organisations based in the North East | Region: Tyne and Wear | Country: United Kingdom | Michaela Wetherell
Thought Foundation is seeking commercial, domestic sized artwork to be sold in Thought Foundations new online gallery. This exhibition is part of Summer in the City, Durham’s art, music and theatre festival.
Following on from the success of Summer in the City 2019, original plans have been repurposed to bring you SitC online 2020. This new online platform will present a varied programme of arts events throughout June for everyone to enjoy from home, including exhibitions, performances, and DIY activates, encouraging communities to get creative in response to the current climate.
Thought Foundation Affordable Art Exhibition will be curated with a focus on high quality, fresh, dynamic artwork. We encourage a variety of media such as photography, illustration, painting, drawings and/ or collages that respond to the notion of home. This will be online only, work will be no more than £250 which will also have to cover P&P which artists will have to arrange themselves.
Artists may submit up to 3 pieces. The artist will receive 90% of each artwork sold, 10% of all sales will be donated to a local charity affected by Covid-19.
The website will be launched on the 4th of June but we will be updating the gallery daily to add new work until the closing of the exhibition on the 30th of June.
