Turquoise Dreams: My Serenity
Deadline: 19/09/2020Elinor Rowlands
Turquoise Dreams: My Serenity
A new online exhibition from Magical Women by Autistic or/and ADHD women artists for Autistic or/and ADHD women/identifying as women artists. We also accept dyslexic/dyspraxic women artists.
What evokes a sense of serenity in you when you create art? What do you want to leave for the viewer to meditate on? We are looking for pieces of art that possess the power of turquoise in its midst. For turquoise radiates the tranquillity of blue, it is the growth of green, and energises like the sunshine within yellow. It is a colour that both uplifts, glistens and cools down.
My Serenity is an exhibition about the state of artmaking, it is one about being with the art-materials and allowing expression to arise to the surface as you hear your inner core's voice perhaps for the very first time. This voice does not speak, instead it might sing or hum or engage in a way that is soothing, and you can begin to feel a wave of calmness splash all over yourself, within and without and all around yourself.
It is the bliss your entire being seeks and which brings your being into a state of unity so that expression comes easily, and practice is attended to with ease.
