We are seeking writers for short pieces for our next issue of the Zine Haus-a-rest, Issue 4, which is the concept issue.

We are seeking written contributions for the next Issue 4 of Haus-a-rest zine / instagram / Facebook. This issue focuses on how artists have created conceptual art so the piece should cover your thoughts about this topic. Each artist has been asked to provide one image of their work and explain how they devoped the concept, why and how they overcame any challenges.

The article could cover:

What does conceptual art mean and is it still relevant / more relevant today?

Is it all about the idea or does the material / process cloud this issue?

What about the process?

Can the process / material / performance be the concept?

Do we need to know the concept or is it enough that the artist knows?

How did the artist get to the concept in the first place, research, iterative process, light bolt, paradigm shift in thinking?

Examples of good concept art and examples of poor conceptual art.

We would need 500 words - or if longer a summary and then a link.

A photo of you and a short bio your web page and instagram account.

Take a look at Issue 2 at https://haus-a-rest-creative.weebly.com and Issue 3 at https://haus-a-rest-exhibition.weebly.com

This could lead to a post as one of our resident writers as we are looking for two resident writers to contribute to three issues September to November.

Please follow us on instagram at haus-a-rest.

Good luck.
