Often described as one of ‘Yorkshire’s best kept secrets’, this leading contemporary fine art gallery was established in 1988. Over the years the gallery has earned the reputation as a place to view and purchase a wide range of works by local, national and international artists.
Exhibitions change monthly, representing and promoting an extraordinarily wide range of both established and emerging artists. The works shown include a broad range of media including painting, printmaking and ceramics.
In June 2013, the Zillah Bell Gallery opened the Upper Galleries. This is where prints by Norman Ackroyd CBE RA are displayed along with other artists throughout the year, many of which also Royal Academicians.
The Zillah Bell Gallery holds the largest collection of Norman Ackroyd’s etchings in the North of England, some of which are listed on the shop page. If any print is still in edition, it can be purchased from the gallery.
