    Working with a range of materials I develop surfaces through sensory expressions, that evolve into portraits and landscapes. These become dynamic and intimate works that emerge from gestural mark making and experimentation with pigments and grounds. Self-portraits begin with a process of tactile observation of my own face. Landscapes are documented through sketches on site throughout the seasons.

    Janes practice combines drawing, printmaking and embroidery. She works from her studio in Stockport, and exhibits regularly both nationally and internationally. Jane studied embroidered textiles at Goldsmiths college followed by postgraduate study at Manchester Polytechnic. Having lectured for 30 years at Manchester School of Art , Jane changed career in 2020 to become a full time artist.

    Sue is a contemporary artist from Yorkshire and has been painting for over 30 years. Gaining a Diploma in Fine Art and Crafts at Leeds College of Art, then going on to complete a BA Honours Degree in Art and Design at Bradford College. Primarily Sue use oil paint, to draw out intangible moments from specific memories. Areas of impasto layering is a striking feature of her work.

    Poppy Whatmore is a visual artist based in London. She studied an MA Fine Art at Slade School of Fine Art with an Arts Council Award. She was nominated for the Adrian Carruthers Studio Award and won the Aesthetica Art Prize in 2013 . Selected group shows include, 'A Body A Part', APT gallery, artist and curator; 'Warped Domesticity'. She was selected for Hogchester Arts in 2023.

    Matt Hooper is a self-taught professional linocut printmaker, working from his studio in Leeds. He makes linocut prints following both the traditional Japanese Woodblock style and more contemporary linocut methods, a reflection of his passions for both subjects. After 30 years in a Leeds print factory, Matt left with the goal of making every piece of paper into something beautiful.

    Based in the UK East Midlands, I became a full time artist in 2019. Semi abstract in nature, my work combines a fine art background and a long held fascination with wood in all forms. Sustainability underpins my practice; resource management and contributing to art communities is very important to me.     My visual arts practice derives from a sense of place and community anchored in politics and experiences of a working-class background. Printing offers me the materiality and medium to experiment with images of strength and violence, representing tactile anger in keeping with present times. I make woodcuts, lino and wood engraving, as well as the traditional medium of etching and aquatint.
