We are now inviting submissions for participation in the twentieth International Contemporary Artists' Book Fair at The Tetley centre for contemporary art in Leeds, UK on Saturday 4th (11am-6pm) and Sunday 5th March (11am-4pm) 2017.

Now in its fourth year at The Tetley, the fair is taking place in conjunction with the centre’s major exhibition of the work of internationally renown artist Dora Garcia and a survey show of the past twenty years of PAGES activities (27 January - 23 April).


Leeds’ International Contemporary Artists' Book Fair forms the core of PAGES, a rolling programme of interrelated events that aim to establish critical engagement with the medium of the artists’ book raising awareness, encouraging production and creating new platforms for display and exchange between audience and maker.

The artists’ book fair will incorporate an extensive series of interrelated discussions, workshops and performances throughout the weekend. A comprehensive catalogue with full documentation (statements, contact details and images) for each participant will be produced, this publication will also contain newly commissioned essays and works for the page.

 

Table size: 180 x 75cm

 

Individual artists/imprints /publishers: £75

Colleges and Universities: £120

Non-attending international artists: £95

Trade stands: £150

Early Career tables – 5 tables will be awarded to selected early-career practitioners / imprints without charge (established within the last 3 years)

International tables – 5 tables will be available with staffing at no extra cost so that international imprints can mail publications to us and have their stall managed during the book fair (a maximum of 10 books up to a total weight of 5 kilos including packaging).

Submissions will be reviewed and selected by PAGES and The Tetley’s co-curators. We will contact you by Friday 18th November 2016 to let you know if you have been selected for the 2017 Artist Book Fair and to request payment.

Who is eligible for this opportunity?
Artist book makers, fine press publishers, bookbinding and paper suppliers, and e-reader technologists.

How many works can I submit?
Please submit 1-3 full colour images of recent work that can be displayed on the PAGES website and reproduced in the artists' book fair catalogue.
How much does it cost?
There are a range of prices available depending on the type of organisation.
Prices for tables are as follows:
Individual artist/imprint/collective: £75 / €89
College/University: £120 / €142
Trade/Supplier: £150 / €177
Non-attending International participants: £105 / €124 (a maximum of 10 books up to a total weight of 5 kilos including packaging)

There is also the option to submit a joint application with another exhibitor to share a table.
What are the exhibition opening hours?
The event will be held over 2 days; Saturday 5th March (11am-6pm), and Sunday 6th March (11am-4pm).
