Todmorden Open Studios invite applications for the fourth annual Open Studios event to be held on 8th, 9th, 10th September 2017. For all artists or makers based in Todmorden and surrounding area.

Individual artists, group studios, workshops and Galleries are welcome to take part.

Final deadline for submission: 14th May 2017. No forms accepted after this date.

Please check your details carefully.

Public liability – Todmorden Open Studios organisers take no responsibility for Public Liability at your studio/home. You need to make these arrangements yourself. Who is eligible for this opportunity?
Artists and Makers in all media based in Todmorden and surrounding area.
What are the Open Studios opening hours?
11am - 5 pm Friday 8th, Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th September 2017
When is the deadline?
14th May 2017 for applications and payment.
Image
With your application send ONE good quality professional clear JPEG digital image of your artwork. Write your own NAME as your title.
No frames or glass reflections on your image please. These images will be used on the printed publicity material and any social media used to advertise the event. Have you uploaded your image? This is essential.
How much does it cost?
£18 for each artist taking part. £20 for any exhibiting Gallery.
You must make your payment when you apply and before the deadline. If you don’t pay before the deadline we cannot accept your application.
Cash or cheque payable to 'Todmorden Open Studios'. Put your name and contact details on the reverse of the cheque.
POST or hand deliver to Shelley Burgoyne, 20 Woodlands Avenue, Todmorden, OL145LT. (not my name on cheque please!)
If you require a receipt for your posted or hand delivered payment please include a SAE.
10th May- hand in your payment to Shelley at the Open Studio meeting at the Golden Lion in Todmorden from 8 pm.
Deadline is 14th May.
What publicity will be provided as part of the opportunity?
Full colour booklets will be published listing all artists taking part with one image per artist.
Plus flyers, some posters and a vinyl banner which will be displayed in Todmorden.
A press release will be sent out locally. A launch party will be held details below.
Where will my venue be listed?
In our printed publicity which will be a full colour brochure with details of all artists and studios/venues.
On social media. We have a Facebook page (Todmorden Open Studios) and are on Instagram.
Details about the whole event will be in the local press.
Is there a private view / opening event?
There will be a launch event on the evening of Friday 8th September in Todmorden - venue to be confirmed.. Further information will be sent out nearer the day.
Do I need to be present at the studio?
Yes this is essential for all the three days of the event.
Studio Open Days
Todmorden Open Studios is a three day event. There is an option to open on Saturday and Sunday only. However we prefer that as many studios/venues as possible are open for the whole three day event.
